South Texas College of Law Houston will be hosting its 6th Annual Energy Law Negotiation Competition on Saturday, April 4th.
This April, we will welcome 32 students from 16 law schools including: UT, SMU, UH, STCL, Texas Tech, LSU, Tulane, Oklahoma, Stetson, Emory, Brooklyn Law School, William & Mary, West Virginia, Wyoming, Chapman, and UC Irvine.
To ensure this competition is as successful as it has been in previous years, we are seeking local certified professional landmen and energy attorneys to judge at the two preliminary rounds on Saturday, April 4th and the final round on Sunday, April 5th. Competitors will negotiate for approximately 70 minutes and following the negotiation, the three volunteer judges in each room will provide detailed feedback about their performance and other real world issues. A after the second round, a reception will be held.
If you are interested in volunteering as a judge for as little as two hours (and receiving CLE credit), please register online at https://my.stcl.edu/s/1577/01-alumni/1col.aspx?sid=1577&gid=1&pgid=1451&cid=3635.
