Once a year the Service Committee of HAPL goes to the Goldberg B’nai B’rith Towers and caters a BBQ dinner to about 125 residents of the lower-income Senior Citizens Housing complex. HAPL is the only organization all year that provides a free hot meal to this community. During dinner, we need volunteers to serve the BBQ and others to help less mobile residents get their plate and beverage to the table. After dinner, we play bingo for gift cards as prizes. The residents of Goldberg are always so very appreciative of the dinner and time we spend with them. Any HAPL member who participates walks away feeling like they really did make a positive difference in someone else’s life that day. Come out and join us!
